In bringing this title sequence together, I needed a rough plan of what kind of content I wanted to show in it. I wanted to make it seem realistic by using footage from my phone to give it more of a teenage realistic effect. I asked for permission from the people I filmed and they were okay with me showing them in it. I never made it exactly the same as the original skins title sequence but gave off the same vibe that skins portrays, such as raves, friends and drugs.
After making my first draft of the title sequence, this gave me an idea of what images I wanted to use for the background of my clips. I decided that searching ‘colors and patterns’ on Google would suit it well, so used some of Google images. In the original sequence they also display colors and patterns in it, but I used them in my own way so I wasn’t completely copying what the original sequence displayed. The start of the sequence was of a building and during the rest of the title sequence contained what the show is about. For the ending of the sequence, I decided that teenagers walking through a park would be a good way to end and start the program along with the show name. Although the footage isn’t great quality, that is the look I wanted to go for.
PROS:
- Containing the content needed for the sequence
- Enough clips for 50 seconds
CONS:
- Bad quality clips
- Could have added in some smoking clips which I didn’t think of until it was completed
